Seminar promoted by OEC discusses impacts of the New Bidding Law
The changes and novelties to Act 14.133/2021 and its impacts on the bidding process were discussed in the "OEC Seminar: New Bidding Law and Administrative Contracts", held last 7th, in São Paulo, with the participation of the Legal team, Business and Contracts directors, and commercial support from the Projects.
Independent Majority Board
- Hatem Soliman, an Egyptian-Brazilian national, takes office as a member of the Board of Directors of the construction company OEC. The board now has seven members, four of whom are independent.
- ICN (Itaguaí Construções Navais) delivers the first Riachuelo-class submarine to the Brazilian Navy. The OEC was responsible for the construction of all the necessary infrastructure for the manufacture, assembly, operation and maintenance of the submarine.
ISO 37001
- OEC's Integrity Program is certified by ISO 37001, the global standard for anti-bribery systems management. One of the first heavy construction companies in Brazil to receive the seal, OEC was audited by QMS Certification Services. The certification, valid for three years, also includes its subsidiaries OECI, CNO, Tenenge, CBPO and Oenger.
The conquest of the ISO 37001 Certificate attests to the recognition of the internal controls created in recent years and corroborates our determination to base our business on ethical, honest, and transparent actions.
New Brand Novonor
- After undergoing an intense journey of transformation, OEC's holding company announces the change of its brand.
- With the delivery of the Punta Catalina Thermoelectric Power Plant, in the Dominican Republic, the undertaking will meet about 30% of the country's current energy demand, with a total generation capacity of 720 MW.

ICN delivers 1st Riachuelo submarine to the Brazilian Navy
ICN (Itaguaí Construções Navais) delivered the first Riachuelo Class submarine to the Brazilian Navy. The Weapons Show Ceremony was held this past Thursday, 01/09, after an extensive and rigorous testing schedule was completed to ensure the completion of this highly complex project.

Engineering students from the University of Piura conduct technical visit to the IIRSA North project, in Peru
On July 20 and 21, the IIRSA North project received the first visit of a group of students from the Mechanical Engineering and Electrical Engineering course from the University of Piura, Peru. The students visited the Limón Press facilities of the Olmos Project, the Lamparan Industrial Unit, and the works being carried out by OEC in Peru on the IIRSA North highway.
