The Abreu e Lima Refinery (RNEST), located in Pernambuco, is about to receive a strategic boost to its processing capacity with the construction of the Naphtha Hydrotreatment Unit (UHDT-N), also known as U-34. The project, led by Tenenge, the industrial engineering and construction company of Odebrecht Engenharia e Construção, marks a new phase in Petrobras’ infrastructure expansion in the Northeast.

ICN (Itaguaí Construções Navais) delivered the first Riachuelo Class submarine to the Brazilian Navy. The Weapons Show Ceremony was held this past Thursday, 01/09, after an extensive and rigorous testing schedule was completed to ensure the completion of this highly complex project.

After winning an international public bid that began in January of this year, OEC signed on Wednesday (September 1st) a contract with Angola's state-owned oil company, Sonangol, to build the Barra do Dande Ocean Terminal, located about 60 kilometers north of the capital, Luanda. On July 22, OEC – Odebrecht Engineering & Construction, through the BH Health Concessionaire, signed a Public-Private Partnership (PPP) contract with the City of Belo Horizonte and began the construction of 40 health centers in the capital of Minas Gerais, an investment of approximately R$ 215 million. The first unit should be ready by December this year.

On July 6th, Laúca Hydroelectric Plant’s fifth generator initiated commercial operation, reaching a capacity of 1,670 MW. With this installed capacity, Laúca surpasses the sum of Capanda (520 MW) and Cambambe (960 MW), until recently the main hydroelectric power plants of Angola.

The Unit I of the Punta Catalina Thermoelectric Plant, in the Dominican Republic, was synchronized and began to inject 36.5 megawatts (MW) into the national electricity system on Wednesday, February 27.
