Inauguration of the Guaratuba Bridge Marks an Advance in Bridge Engineering in Brazil and a New Cycle of Economic Growth
Odebrecht Engineering & Construction and its partners in the Nova Ponte Consortium—also comprising Carioca Christiani-Nielsen Engenharia and Goetze Lobato Engenharia (GEL)—delivered the Guaratuba Bridge on May 1. Located on the coast of Paraná, the project was carried out under the responsibility of the Paraná State Department of Highways (DER-PR) and the Secretariat of Infrastructure and Logistics (SEIL).
On November 26, the Brazilian Navy launched the submarine Almirante Karam (S43), the fourth and final conventional vessel built under the Submarine Development Program (PROSUB). The submarine will now undergo testing until its final delivery.
This Monday, the 26th, the Enseada Shipyard received a visit from Jerônimo Rodrigues, Governor of the State of Bahia; Jaques Wagner, Senator of the Republic; and state secretaries, who attended the delivery of the first batch of 13 mining barges built for the client Lhg Mining.
